A Long Year

Since my last post I have undergone a series of life changes. I got a job at cabinet manufacturing company and quit. I found the love of my life (again) and asked her to marry me (she said yes). I got in to graduate school at Texas Tech. It’s strange to think that the life lived in the past year can be summarized in those three sentences.

It’s time to start writing again. I haven’t been writing, but I have been reading. Wittgenstein has taken a prominent role in my thinking again. I have finished the Tractatus and the Blue Book, currently going through the Brown Book. I’m confused and befuddled, which leads to my own convoluted thoughts, which leads to my writing. For all of this, I’m excited to finally be able to devote all of my energy to philosophy. I will no longer have to split my time between classes I care nothing about and the ones I do care about. Not only this, I will finally be able to start teaching (as a TA).

I refrain from posting these journal like entries and write something worth reading. After all, that’s what I need to be doing anyway.
